Every Byline engagement follows the same six-stage process—rigorous enough to produce consistently good work, flexible enough to fit any brief.

Discovery & alignment
We start by understanding the business problem, not just the brief. We conduct stakeholder interviews, observe where possible, and review existing data and materials. The outcome is a shared definition of the change you’re trying to achieve, along with agreement on how you’ll know you’ve achieved it.

Learning design
Instructional architects map the learning journey, including objectives, structure, modality, and assessment strategy. We apply our frameworks where they fit and develop custom approaches where they don’t. The design is reviewed and approved before production begins.

Prototype & review
We build a functional prototype, a representative slice of the programme, before moving into full production. This helps prevent costly rework and ensures stakeholders can respond to the actual experience rather than a description of it. Feedback is consolidated and incorporated before we proceed.

Production
Full-scale development based on the approved design and prototype. Our production team, including instructional designers, developers, animators, and QA specialists, works in structured sprints with clear handoffs. Every deliverable is quality-checked against our internal standards before client review.

Deployment & launch
We support deployment into your LMS or learning environment, configure tracking and reporting, and prepare learner communications and manager guides. We remain on call throughout the launch period, rather than disappearing the moment we hand over the files.

Measure & iterate
At the agreed milestone, usually 60–90 days post-launch, we review the data against the success metrics established during Discovery. We present our findings, recommend optimisations, and design the next iteration if the programme is intended to evolve continuously.
